Background Information | : | The technological recommendations emerging from research station are generally specific and usually covering entire agro-climatic zone. It has however, been observed that each commodity is grown or managed under a number of farming situations. More than one farming situation of a commodity may be observed in given village or even on a given farmers holding. Hence, demonstrations of the technological package of each commodity as per the farming situation is organized.
Krishi vigyanKenrdra, Raigad in the survey of groundnut cultivable area observed that the farmers of Devale Village from Poladpur tehsil are well organized. KVK Scientist approached the villagers, observed the farming situation. This village comes under AES-I means very high rainfall with lateritic soil. The irrigation facilities are available due to well-constructed in river basin under Village Development Programme of SWADES Foundation a Voluntary Institute, Raigad. |
Technology Demonstrated | : | A multidisciplinary team of KVK Scientist visited the village and after detail discussions and guidance Shri. Variety released by the University · TKG Bold- Yield 20-22 q/ha Crop production technology recommendation of the University Passed JOINT AGRESCO (Year 2007) · In Konkan region to get maximum production and profit from Rabi-summer groundnut, It is recommended to apply FYM @5 ton/ha + 25:50:30 NPK/ha along with seed treatment by Rhizobium (20gm/kg) and PSB (50GM/KG). |
Institutional Involvement | : | It is well known that farmers not only have technological needs but other needs also namely inputs, credit, social marketing, facilitation for group action and conflict resolution community organizations, etc. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Swades Foundation (NGO), Shetkari Vikas Sanstha (Farmers Oganization) and Taluka Agricultral Officer, Poladpur collectively taken efforts to conduct this demonstration from site selection to Post harvest management. |
Success Point | : | Proper and timely use of recommended package of practices by the participant farmers. Better germination, Good crop stand, No serious disease occurrence observed and timely intercultural operations. |
Outcome | : | Economic yield: 18.50 q/ha
Biological yield : 53.20 q/ha |
